Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry (REMS) is an advanced, non-invasive technology used to evaluate bone mineral density and bone quality, most commonly at the lumbar spine and hip.

What is Involved

The Procedure

The scan is performed while you lie comfortably on an examination couch. Ms Anna Moon passes a handheld ultrasound probe gently over your lower back and hip.
 
The procedure takes only a few minutes and requires no special preparation, fasting, or injections. As the probe glides over the target areas, the REMS system analyses the reflected ultrasound signals to calculate your bone mineral density and evaluate the microarchitecture of your bone tissue at the scanned sites.

After Your Scan
